Ever dreamt of running away to the circus? The Individuals' Spring/Summer 2011 collection is all about capturing the essence of lightness. A sensation of being launched from a cloud-high trapeze. Finding safety in dangerous altitudes, while leaving all inhibitions behind. For a moment everything is possible.
In the collection, there is a clear contrast between figure-hugging forms and loose shapes. Through movement, the silhouette of the body appears, becoming erotic. The use of small jaunty details, like curved stitching on the back of a skirt gives the collection a lighthearted- feel. This feeling is enhanced by the use of a fresh and joyful color pallet of dazzling white, champagne, popping pink, daring turquoise, and cannon-ball black. Other quirky details include the combination of knit and leather.
